Izzie Ruffle is a photographer and creative based in Surrey, South London. Izzie's photographic work centres around the genres of documentary, events, and travel.
Since graduating from London South Bank University in 2017, Izzie has created work internationally for organisations such as INSEAD and Marston Events, as well as working closely with the Isle of Wight Festival as head photographer on the Cirque de la Quirk stage.
Izzie's artistic endeavours include both digital and fine art, taking inspiration largely from Pop Culture and Current Events. Her art style typically makes use of harsh shadows and bright highlights, and often asks the viewer to look inward and question their own standing in regards to the theme of the piece.

This artwork explores the complex tension between comfort and stagnation, symbolized through balloon animals adorned with piercings, tattoos, and graffiti. The balloons, delicate and easily damaged, represent individuals trapped in situations that are emotionally or physically harmful.
The inherent fragility of the balloon animals reveals a paradox: to move, to change, is to risk destruction, but to remain static is to slowly wither away, untouched but unfulfilled.

This artwork explores the complex tension between comfort and This piece conveys the danger of remaining in a harmful space due to the fear of change or the potential consequences of taking a risk. It challenges viewers to reflect on the consequences of staying still in the face of personal growth, and how, without movement, we can also lose a sense of purpose, identity, or progress.
